High-level conference with the participation of:

  • Stella Kyriakides, European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety
  • Dr. Hans Kluge, WHO Europe Director
  • Vinay Saldanha, Special Adviser to Executive Director UNAIDS

and hosted by Members of the European Parliament from across the political spectrum.

The HIV Outcomes initiative is delighted to invite you to a virtual meeting on World AIDS Day to discuss what policy actions are needed to improve the mental health of people living with HIV.

Good mental health is essential to quality of life and people living with HIV face significant mental health challenges. We want to raise awareness on these challenges and the impact they have on the long-term health outcomes and quality of life of people living with HIV. During the event we will engage with high level policy-makers, patient representatives, clinicians and public health experts to discuss concrete policy actions. We will ask them how to secure political commitment from key institutional stakeholders to ensure that tackling the HIV epidemic remains a priority in Europe.
