To mark the 40th anniversary since AIDS was first reported and to commemorate the 25th anniversary of UNAIDS, this year our event explored the policy actions needed for HRQoL to become a new focus to measure and improve the well-being of those living with HIV. It is time for a paradigm shift beyond viral suppression to ensure that they, too, can enjoy full HRQoL.

At the roundtable, HIV stakeholders identified areas where HIV Outcomes might be able to contribute to the ongoing work around the health-related quality of (HRQoL) of people living with HIV in the UK.

At the satellite symposium, scientific experts, policymakers and patient representatives will provide different perspectives on the long-term impact of COVID-19 and HIV/AIDS on the health-related quality of life of people living with HIV.

In view of the upcoming EU4Health's first call for projects, the Secretariat organised a Working Group Session with the Steering Group and General Members to learn priority areas for the projects and identify existing our future initiatives beyond viral suppression that may be considered for funding.
